The Friends of Florida State Parks, Inc is very grateful for your past support and hoping that you are now prepared to renew your commitment to our award winning parks system by renewing your membership. As a FRIEND, your dues and support help preserve incredible beaches, magnificent wetlands, historic and cultural site and the fragile beauty of the Real Florida for generations to come.
Some of the accomplishments achieved during the past year through your membership support include: Provided funding for an educational advocacy program that provided printed cards describing each state park and its economic benefit to surrounding communities and the states economy. These were sent to each Florida State Senator and Representative. Provided direct funding for nine separate Park Friends groups to build projects or develop programs and events targeted to improve that park and increase local volunteer support. Organized education tours and programs that helped the Governor and Legislature act to save 53 parks from proposed closure. FFSP, Inc solely produced and funded a 3-day workshop bringing together leadership for local state parks Friends & Alliance groups. This leadership training provided relevant content and best practices on fundraising, partnership, social media marketing and many other topics. Many exciting new projects are underway for the current fiscal year but we need your help to implement our programs. With your renewal, we will once again plant a Longleaf Pine Tree in a Florida park. We hope you are enjoying your copies of Florida Parks & Wildlife and they will continue to come.
